Frank McGee hosting Monitor '61

on the
Sounds of Monitor page!

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Ed McMahon.  Ed, of course, was Johnny Carson's sidekick for 30 unforgettable years on "Tonight," but he also was Monitor's Saturday afternoon host for several years in the mid-'60s -- part of what some Monitor listeners consider the best group of hosts the program ever had (Ed, Gene Rayburn, Henry Morgan, Barry Nelson and Frank Blair).  You can hear a bit of Ed hosting Monitor on the "Sounds of Monitor" page.  We wish we had more audio of Ed, to illustrate just how good he was on those Saturday afternoons.
